Ben Howard gets a surprise while performing ‘Only Love’. Is this a reverse flash mob?

Normally a flash mob is used as a technique by an artist to get noticed. But what happens when an artist gets flash mobbed themselves? Ben Howard, the british singer-songwriter just found out.

This is a pretty charming video of poor Ben Howard, having been dragged out of bed to perform in a random room above an empty street for what he thinks is an isolated acoustic performance. But it turns out the joke’s on him, as slowly but surely the street fills up with masses of people.

His cheeky little smile as this is happening is priceless.

His new album Every Kingdom is out now, and you can find it on iTunes here: Every Kingdom - Ben Howard

Here's another taste of the British cool guy.
