His Forthcoming Album ‘Whole Lotta Red’ Is Eagerly Anticipated
It’s been a case of pushbacks and cryptic tweets from Playboi Carti who has been in recording sessions for his sophomore album since 2018. Fans grew excited in October 2019 when the young rapper posted on Instagram with the caption ‘red incoming’, leading them to think the album was done. It is said to feature zero collaborations, however, the latest iteration of the album supposedly stars guest appearances from peers like Gunna and Trippie Redd. In his cover story with Fader, Carti spoke on the album, “I could be done if I wanted to. I’m just trying to top sh**. I might make the hardest song ever tomorrow.”
Lil Uzi & Playboi Carti Mixtape Is Nearly Here
While the duo may have a confusing friendship, there was a mixtape from the rappers expected to drop in April 2020 after some cryptic tweets were exchanged. Carti revealed back in 2018 that the duo have been recording together since 2015 and have made over 100 songs together, so it’s fair to say there’s been a lot of hype surrounding the release of this mixtape. Here’s hoping it gets officially released soon.

He’s Rumoured To Be A New Dad
Playboi Carti has been boo’d up with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea since 2018, and they live together in a multi-million dollar home in Carti’s hometown of Atlanta. Their relationship has been notoriously private, with the duo even going as far as refusing to make music together. Carti revealed “That’s a whole ‘nother thing.’ I support everything she does”. The couple has sparked engagement and baby rumours as of late given the $35000 rock seen on Iggy Azalea’s hand. Most recently though, Azalea has supposedly given birth to a baby boy in private over the weekend following baby rumours sparking in December 2019. Congrats!
Playboi Carti Starred on Drake’s Latest Project
Drake was also been teasing his Playboi Carti collaboration, performing a snippet of their track called ‘Pain 1993’ at a concert earlier this year. The collab was rumoured to appear on Carti’s forthcoming album, but has since been released on Drake’s recent ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’ mixtape. Drake’s a long time Playboi Carti stan, even calling for the release of the album on his Instagram in a funny caption.
His latest track is called ‘@MEH’
While fans were disappointed Carti wasn’t doing to drop the album during the worldwide quarantine, he gave them a bone to chew on with ‘@MEH’, a fruity track starring Playboi’s Carti signature ‘mumble rap’ and use of sound effects and ad-libs. He posted the ‘@MEH’ album artwork on April 15th which is rumoured to be the same artwork for his album too, furthering fans excitement.
