You know it’s December when every store you walk into has the classic Christmas playlist on repeat. Whether you love it or hate it, it’s impossible to avoid the influx of festive music blasting on every shop speaker throughout the country. For those of us that need a playlist to satisfy the grinch’s in our family, here are 12 Christmas songs that are near impossible to get sick of (well… almost).

1. Justin Bieber – ‘Mistletoe’

An oldy but a goody, it’s pretty darn hard to get sick of a Bieber song. This catchy hit will have even the most hardcore grinch’s busting out a few lines – a perfect opportunity to get the camera out.

2. Ariana Grande – ‘Santa Tell Me’

The queen of catchy hits provides us with the perfect mix of classic Christmas tunes with her signature pop beat. This track is just one of many from her Christmas themed albums and will most definitely have you singing along from start to finish.

3. Jonas Brothers – ‘Like It’s Christmas’

Everyone’s favourite brother trio decided to jump on the Christmas song bandwagon, and we are not disappointed. The track will no doubt have you up and dancing all day long – that is until the food coma kicks in.

4. Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett – ‘Winter Wonderland’

This old school jazz hit shows us Lady Gaga like we’ve never seen before – her versatility shines through as does her ability to thrive in any music genre. If it wasn’t the middle of summer, we would most definitely be building a snowman to the track!

5. Sam Smith – ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’

The true voice of an angel. I don’t think we will ever get over the angelic sounds of the insanely talented Sam Smith. The track has such a wholesome vibe that will get you right in your festive feels.

6. Liam Payne – ‘All I Want (For Christmas)’

If there’s a way to mix a love song with a Christmas vibe, Liam Payne is sure to do it. This song will have you missing your ex and thinking about the holiday all at once, a good listen for those hoping for a Christmas miracle in their love life.

7. Michael Bublé – ‘It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas’

It’s simply not Christmas if you haven’t listened to at least one Michael Bublé song. The king of festive music never fails to impress us with his velvety vocals and smooth tones, not to mention those incredibly good looks (drool).

8. Stevie Wonder – ‘Silver Bells’

There’s nothing quite like an old school Christmas hit. Stevie Wonder’s ‘Silver Bells’ will spread some major festive vibes into your playlist, a perfect track to play the night before the big day.

9. Idina Menzel and Ariana Grande – ‘A Hand For Mrs. Claus’

Finally, a hit dedicated to the leading lady – Mrs Claus! No surprises a track like this comes from these incredibly talented women. It seems to double as a shout out to those ladies who work behind the scenes getting the big day ready, we stan a girl power track.

10. Taylor Swift – ‘Christmas Tree Farm’

With an INSANELY adorable music video and a catchy tune you won’t forget, what’s not to love about this festive track? Taylor Swift does a perfect job at capturing that nostalgic feeling of a childhood Christmas into a single song, way to go Tay-Tay!

11. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton – ‘You Make It Feel Like Christmas’

We simply couldn’t leave out an ultimate couple tune from this playlist, and who better to include than these extremely talented lovebirds. The duo brings a playful spin to the track with a music video that has major 1920’s vibes.

12. Mariah Carey – ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’

You’d best believe we couldn’t leave off the queen of Christmas music herself. There’s nothing like a Mariah Carey hit to start off your festive morning, so long as there’s no wannabe singers in your family trying to hit those classic high notes. #IYKYK
