It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for….Selena Gomez announced today that she is dropping new single ‘Single Soon’ on August 25th!! Naturally, her return to music has been long anticipated by fans and we are so excited to Dance Again to this new track.
As always, Selena has been killing it in so many ways while she’s been on musical hiatus. Let’s take a look at what she’s been up to recently…
She teased new music
Earlier in the week, ‘Single Soon’ flyers started popping up around the US with an anonymous phone number and website, hinting at Selena’s possible return. When called, the number lead to a voicemail with Selena’s sister Gracie saying “don’t worry about boyfriends at all” along with 4 counts of an instrumental intro, which immediately got fans speculating. Taking to Instagram to announce the single with a carousel of related photos, Selena says that while she isn’t done with SG3, she “wanted to put out a fun little song that’s perfect for the end of summer.”

Her new season of Only Murders in the Building
Miss Sel has starred in AND executive produced the hit show, Only Murders in the Building. Debuting in August 2021, the comedic murder-mystery series keeps slaying harder and harder (literally).
Sel plays the witty, sarcastic, compassionate and curious Mabel (Alex Russo energy), who forms an unlikely bond with Charles (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Short) as they start a true crime podcast about the suspicious deaths in their apartment complex.
This time around, the stars are also joined by ICONS Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd!

The Rare Impact Fund Benefit
Associated with Selena’s cosmetic brand Rare Beauty, Selena also founded the Rare Impact Fund in recent years. In fact, a percentage of all Rare Beauty Sales go directly to the cause!
Come October, Sel willl be hosting the first prestigious gala event to support and fundraise for the foundation’s mission to destigmatise mental health and increase accessibility to education support services globally for all young people. Since the foundation launched in 2020, it has raised $6 million USD, with only more positive impact to come. 💜

She’s been filming a new movie
Earlier this year, Selena was living in Paris for two months to shoot the upcoming film Emilia Perez, alongside Zoe Saldaña. Sel says working on this film “has completely changed my life”, and we cannot wait to get a closer look at this special project. She even managed to get some time in the studio while she was there too. 👀
