It’s time to crack out the cowboy boots because on March 15, Morgan Wallen is taking Spark Arena! Beginning his journey on season six of The Voice US, Morgan has been going from strength to strength. Winning Album of the Year at the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards and then Favourite Male Country Artists at the 2022 AMAs is only the tip of the cowboy hat for this talented Tennessee native.
To celebrate his upcoming visit, and this month’s recent release of his third studio album One Thing At A Time, here is a look back at some of our favourite Morgan Wallen tunes!
7 Summers
Having debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and being named one of TIME’s Top 10 Songs of 2020- ‘7 Summers’ is a reminiscent track about the ‘what ifs’ of a past relationship. This song sounds exactly like an endless summer evening, painting pictures of the warm Tennessee months by the river with a cool beverage and the fresh country breeze.
Last Night
This song has a uniquely fast-paced verse that mirrors the lyrics about not entirely remembering the events of the night before. Complete with a through line of the iconic and melodic guitar riff, ‘Last Night’ has all the markers of a classic country track.
Dying Man
This song reflects on the treachery and troubles of stardom, making reference to first country megastar Hank Williams, and King of Rock ‘n’ Roll Elvis Presley. On this track, Morgan opens up about how his relationship with an ‘angel’ of a woman kept him grounded and deterred him from going down a darker path.
One Thing At A Time
His newest album’s title track, ‘One Thing At A Time’ showcases Morgan’s talent for hitting the sweet spot between country and pop, to produce tracks that are destined to take the world by storm. You can’t help but want to get up and dance when this comes on!
Man Made A Bar (feat. Eric Church)
With all the comforts and nostalgia of the local pub, this track explores the heart of the human experience with heartbreak and hardships. Inviting Country veteran Eric Church to feature only enriches the sense of camaraderie and the cyclical storytelling of this record.

Heartless (Wallen Album Mix)
Originally a collaboration with Diplo and Julia Michaels that took the world by storm by going 3x Platinum, Morgan included a personal rendition of this track on Dangerous: The Double Album. This version has a more rich country sound with a buttery blend of acoustics, while still maintaining the catchiness of the pop hit!
You Proof
10/10 do not recommend taking a shot everytime Morgan mentions whiskey in a song, but in this case, ‘You Proof’ sets the perfect mood for a glass of something nice. This track gives us something really different. With a trap beat laid under the more traditional instrumental, Morgan graces us with contemporary and unique production that deviates from the traditional generic markers of country music.
Wasted on You
Blessing us from the get-go with a captivating guitar riff and a fluttering lyrical cadence, this track is a defeated admission of wasted time in a failed relationship. But we must admit – it’s hard to be heartbroken when you can’t help but get into the sick production!
Cover Me Up
This track makes crystal clear the rasped emotion that Morgan can deliver in his slower and stiller moments. Originally performed by Jason Isbell, ‘Cover Me Up’ embodies the candid honesty trademarks Morgan’s storytelling lyricism in a really authentic and heartfelt way. Definitely an overlooked gem in the star’s earlier discography!
Thought You Should Know
Here Morgan opens up about his home life in a letter to his mother, sharing intimate details of his current life, asking after other family members and reflecting on fond memories. Much like a diary entry, this one is a heartfelt insight to the singer’s gratitude and love for the most important woman in his life.
