Our old mate has had a huge 2022, and it’s nearly time for us to welcome him from across the ditch to help kick off the The Future is Bright World Tour!
After rescheduling last year’s show, Dean is returning to NZ to play at The Opera House in Wellington (March 15), The Christchurch Town Hall (March 17), and The Civic in Auckland (March 18).
We couldn’t be more excited that he’s coming to visit so we’ve done some stalking to see what he’s been up to recently while we wait for his return.
His Biggest Shows Yet
After the entirety of his 2022 tour stops sold out, Dean confessed on his Insta story earlier this month that the crowd at his upcoming Melbourne show will be his biggest audience yet! We’re so proud. ❤️

He’s playing Lollapalooza in Stockholm
We were beyond excited to see that Dean was announced on the lineup to be a part of this iconic festival, where “for the first time ever you don’t need the Hubble telescope” to see his name on the poster. Here’s to talented artists making waves up in the northern hemisphere!

We Got a Second Music Video
It’s no secret that we can’t help getting emosh about the story behind the hit single, ‘How Do I Say Goodbye?” Six months on from the original music video, Dean and his family have graced us with a part two, sharing a wholesome update about the stem cell transplant that saved his dad’s life. We get to see his father, Grant, take the stage with him in Sydney but we must warn you, you’re not going to need any less tissues this time around!
He’s Been Living in L.A.
We’re so excited to hear what heartfelt tunes have come to life in the L.A. sunshine over Dean’s two-month stay. Also very intrigued to see if he whips out any Jiu Jitsu moves on-stage.

The Success of His Recent Album: The Hardest Love
Dean’s sophomore studio album released on Nov 4 2022 to glowing critical reception, as well as fast-becoming a clear favourite for fans all over the world. EUPHORIA magazine dubbed it “an emotionally-rich record”, commending his vulnerability for its powerful and compelling nature.
Just one week after release, The Hardest Love was the 7th biggest album both globally and in the USA, while also being the third biggest in the UK! But with almost 160 million streams in seven days, this should be no surprise despite Dean remaining so incredibly humble.
