Country has been re-emerging more into the mainstream of late, and with the rise of the genre comes a host of fresh new country talent, all exploring their career milestones and developing dedicated audiences. Jon Pardi is one of these, and as he gears up for his upcoming releases, here’s the breakdown of everything important to know about him.

 

 

1. He has recently released a song with Luke Bryan

Country favorite Luke Bryan has been dipping his vocals in a lot of musical pies lately. Having collaborated with another artist we just did a fact profile on, Jordan Davis, Bryan has now teamed up with Pardi to release the upbeat track ‘Cowboys & Plowboys.’ Filmed jointly just outside Nashville and California, listeners have been eating this track up since it arrived in January.

 

 

 

 

2. A new tour is commencing this month

Following the most recent LP, A Cowboy’s Work Is Never Done, Pardi is embarking on a US and European tour starting April 3. Covering venues from Birmingham to Belfast, those who attend will no doubt experience an exciting night honoring Pardi’s extensive discography.

3. He’s been up for quite a few awards

Pardi has been on the list for a lot of significant country awards over recent years. Some of those include being nominated for Song of the Year at the Country Music Awards, Best New Country Artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, and Album of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards. With 14 nominations and 2 wins, Pardi is definitely doing well. 

Country music aficionados will agree however one of his most impressive achievements to date is his 2023 induction as a member to the Grand Ole Opry.

4. He has four studio albums already

Pardi has been honing his craft for a while now. Having started his career in 2014 with his LP Write You A Song, since then he’s released three new albums: California Sunrise (2016), Heartache Medication (2019), Mr. Saturday Night (2022), and even his latest Merry Christmas from Jon Pardi (2023). Needless to say, he’s continued to improve steadily with every one!

 

 

 

 

 

5. He is influenced by neotraditional country artists

Like others, Pardi has said some of his prominent influences are from the neotraditional space of country music. Specific artists he has mentioned in interviews include George Strait, George Jones & Dwight Yoakam. Elements of their work seep into Pardi’s songs in a subtle fashion, so distinct fans of the genre may pick them up here and there. For example, in the instruments in ‘Longneck Way to Go’, Pardi’s collaboration with Midland. 

 

 

 

6. He is no stranger to touring

Pardi is very experienced in the touring arena, so to speak. Including his current venture, he’s headlined seven tours through the course of his career and supported artists on another seven. Not bad at all – since 2014, he’s been involved in at least one a year!

7. He’s always been musical 

Pardi’s talent has been noticeable from an early age – he formed his first band at the ripe age of 7! From then, it became clear that he has an innate passion for performing, which eventually turned him into the star fans know today.

8. Music isn’t his only passion

9. He’s a regular on talk shows

Pardi has had the honor of performing his music on acclaimed late-night talk shows, including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon multiple times. These appearances keep on introducing him to new audiences where he can showcase his talent.

 

 

 

10. He’s super active online

Pardi is very regular with social media engagement, and connects with his fans as he shares new music, news and everything in between.
