Can you believe NEXT week it’s November?! That means the Christmas decor will be out in full force, the Kiwi BBQs fired up and the dust will come off all the board shorts and bathing suits. It also means it’s time for all of the best gigs of the Summer – and there are A LOT!

Check out the ones you definitely can’t miss below.

U2

It’s been nine years since U2 brought their record-shattering 360° Tour to New Zealand in 2010 and this year they are making a much-anticipated return for not just one, but two massive shows on their iconic The Joshua Tree Tour

Bono said, “Our audience has given the Joshua Tree a whole new life on this tour. Doing these shows has been very special for us, a lot of emotion… From the despair of how relevant some of the dark songs still are, to the joy, pure fun of the staging… it’s quite a ride. And now we get to do it all over again.”

The rock legends play Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November. Grab your tickets here and join them on the ride for a night to remember.

You’ll wanna get there early too! Special guest Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have been confirmed as the support act.

Friday Jams Live

Friday Jams Live is New Zealand’s biggest ultimate RnB throwback concert bringing together the most iconic hip-hop artists from all eras onto one stage, and 2019 is the biggest lineup yet! With jaw-dropping headliners from Janet Jackson to The Black Eyed Peas, this year is not to be missed.

Janet Jackson returns to New Zealand shores for the first time in over 20 years since her massive Velvet Rope Tour at Mt Smart Stadium in 1998. She’s set to perform her biggest hits from ‘The Best Things In Life Are Free’, ‘Together Again’, and ‘That’s The Way Love Goes’ to fan favourites ‘Nasty’ and ‘Scream’.

The Black Eyed Peas have brought their global hits ‘Where Is The Love’ and ‘I Gotta Feeling’ to New Zealand audiences many times over the years. With their last visit being in 2009, there’s no doubt they are ready to hype up a Kiwi crowd once more.

Elton John

Elton John is bringing his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour to New Zealand in 2020 for one last hurrah! Kiwis will get their last ever opportunity to see the music icon perform before he retires from touring and he’s going out with a bang, with six huge shows across the country. Four of them are already sold out with the other two close to it, so get in quick.

“It’s now 48 years since my first ever New Zealand concert. This tour will see my 12th concert in Auckland, my 2nd concert in Dunedin at the Forsyth Barr Stadium, which I opened many years ago, and my first performance at Hawke’s Bay. I am thrilled that this final tour will see me and the band playing somewhere new in your great country. I’ve always loved playing in New Zealand, and I can’t wait to return to your beautiful country in 2020 to perform for you for the last time.” – Elton

With Elton playing songs from his legendary 50-year career, being accompanied by some of his long standing band members, electric stage production and a brand new tour wardrobe designed by the one and only Gucci – this will be more than just a concert, it’ll be one for the history books!
