We all know SACHI. Our favourite Auckland EDM duo have had us grooving since the release of their debut EP ‘Lunch With Bianca’ in 2016. With support from Diplo, Lorde, Zane Lowe and Vince Staples, they’ve released smash after smash that’s made charting success. But there’s just one thing left to know – what on earth have they been up to?

They started the year off with a sweet summer tour

Playing gigs and festivals around NZ over the summer, including Soundsplash and Rotorua’s Float Festival, SACHI started the year off with the ultimate bang. Did you catch them at any shows?

They were wanted by the police?

To celebrate the release of their single ‘Worst Behaviour’ in February this year, SACHI teamed up with NZ police for a little promotion. Check out the wanted ad below.

They went gold with hit ‘Shelter’

Earlier this year the boys grabbed another gold record for their huge 2017 hit ‘Shelter’ and we couldn’t be prouder! Many more to come we’re sure.

They dropped a new single

Released in May, the boys dropped the perfect tune to remind us of summer called ‘Sparking My Fire’ with Irish singer ROE. The hopeful love track soars with mega beats and synths and the hook “you’re sparking my fire” is still stuck in our heads. With no complaints, of course.

They announced a NZ tour

With special guest Montell2099, the Sparking My Fire Tour announced July dates in Dunedin, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. All of which sold out, no big deal.

But what about Auckland?

The boys announced that their Auckland show would be the first ever Cirque Du SACHI, an incredible theatrical experience with heaps of special guests. Playing at Studio on July 19, this was an unforgettable show. Were you lucky enough to catch the sold-out gig?

They released an EP

Fresh off their release date of July 26, ‘Nights With Ruby’ is a magnetic, spiritual journey that’ll have you grooving nonstop. Packed with fan-fave singles and a few new goodies, this may just be the duo’s best project yet. If you haven’t given it a listen, check it out below!
