Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy exploded onto the music scene three years ago with his debut single ‘An Evening I Will Not Forget’. Since then he’s released 2 albums, 2 EP’s, gone Triple Platnium in Ireland, and has gained millions of fans globally, including Taylor Swift!

His first performance was at his school talent show singing Oasis ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger.’ Cute!

 

4. He writes all his own music and poetry

Plus he also enjoys drawing and slam poetry.

 

5. His hit single ‘Power Over Me’ went Triple Platinum in Ireland

It’s also the best-selling Irish Homegrown song according to IRMA and Irish Official Charts.

6. His debut album went to #1 in the UK

Making him the first Irish artist in 20 years to do so. Not a bad effort at all!!
