Kiwi’s rejoice! After the sheer mess of a year that we’re calling 2020, we’re *this* close to shaking it all off and bringing on the much-needed new year. But before we all write 2020 off as that year, let’s simmer down and take the time to celebrate the Kiwi’s that made our year just that little bit brighter. The Aotearoa Music Awards just announced it’s finalists for 2020 and we’re more than stoked for this celebration of Aotearoa’s finest.

SIX60’s leading the pack with a total of six (!) nominations at the Aotearoa Music Awards this year including Album of the Year for ‘SIX60’, Best Group, Te Māngai Pāho Mana Reo award for ‘Kia Mau Ki Tō Ūkaipō’ (‘Don’t Forget Your Roots’) and more 🙌

Following her iconic awards sweep (and equally iconic performance of ‘Soaked’) at last years awards, BENEE’s up for three more Tui this time around including Best Solo Artist, Edge Best Pop Artist, and Single of the Year for Supalonely. So proud of our girl! 🥺

Other nominees include our boy MELODOWNZ who’s up for Spotify Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Drax Project who is up for ‘Catching Feelings’ featuring SIX60 for Single of the Year. Ka pai!

The Aotearoa Music Awards will be broadcast live on The Edge TV and THREE on 15 November from 8.30pm.
