Aaaaand that’s a wrap on the Aotearoa Music Award for 2020! As this LONG year draws to a close, it’s safe to say we’re not gonna miss this year all that much. But despite all of 2020’s distinctive 2020-ness, Kiwi artists made the best of a bad vibe and packed into Spark Arena on Sunday to celebrate some of the highlights!

SIX60 took to the AMA stage to perform their new song ‘Fade Away’ as well as a stunning rendition of ‘Don’t Forget Your Roots/Kia Mau Ki Tō Ūkaipō’ – And for the third year in a row, the boys went home with the Tui for Highest Selling Artist (Te Toa Hoko Teitei)  🤩

For the second year in a row, BENEE swept up four massive Tuis. Taking home the awards for Best Solo Artist (Te Kaipuoro Takitahi Toa), Best Pop Artist (Te Kaipuoro Arotini Toa), an International Achievement award (Tohu Tutuki o te Ao) and Single of the Year (Te Waiata Tōtahi o te Tau) for her bop of all bops ‘Supalonely’

Omg also did we mention her ‘Supalonely’ performance? Because #iconic… 🤯

Kiwi faves Drax Project snagged the Radio Airplay Record of the Year (Te Rikoata Marakerake o te Tau) award for ‘Catching Feelings’ with SIX60. Well deserved! 👏

What a night for NZ music!! We’re sending out a massive congrats to all the nominees + winners  🙌
